ECBA Business Analysis Certification – Sigma Approach For Improving Analysis Quality

When doing business analysis, specification development, and project preparation There Are Many process improvement fundamentals that I always take into account:

  1. The Company procedure must be fit for the purpose it is intended:
  • Fundamentally It is free of quality defects and measures that add no value to the Procedure
  • Its measures are well defined and as straight through as possible
  • It handles exceptions and hand-offs with minimal movement
  • It follows industry best practices and meets compliance and regulatory requirements
  1. The application design and especially the underlying data models:
  • Must support continuous process improvement
  • Must support actionable business intelligence and data driven decision making
  • Must support compliance and regulatory requirements without burdening the procedure or the people working inside the Procedure
  • Must ease a regulatory or compliance audit
  1. Business processes are difficult to analyze and automate because:
  • They are typically slow because there is too much work in process, a lot of time spent on non-value-add work (e.g. over-lapping internal controls and re-keying of information ), and They are rife with exception handling
  • They are less observable in character and possess a tradition of individuality and liberty that makes issues harder to recognize and fix
  • They are characterized by a lack of meaningful and actionable information for decision making
  • The computer software supporting the company process does not capture the essential metrics to encourage a root cause analysis and continuous process improvement.

  • They rarely follow a best practice model
  • They often fail to ensure customer privacy or facilitate segregation of duties
  1. Business process owners and their employees Cannot articulate their needs to the degree of detail needed to complete a specification:
  • They rarely have sufficient knowledge of the process aims

  • They Do not thoroughly understand the components of risk mitigation in a job

The main point is that it is the ecba certification Business Analyst and not the end user that is responsible for making sure that the computer software will satisfy with the company objectives. Therefore they must hone their skills on understanding the conventional drivers, typical exceptions, and continuous process improvement requirements, for each step in a business procedure.
